This is the ONLY picture you could find of Mike Gravel? Really? You couldn’t manage to hunt down one single shot of him smiling or not looking like he’s crying like a little girl? You managed to do so for every other fucking candidate. See, there’s this thing called “Google,” and when I searched for images of Mike Gravel, here are the first ones that came up:

I also searched Getty Images – where CNN got the photo in question from – and (surprise!) found plenty of flattering shots.
Conclusion: CNN are assholes.
Additional Fun Fact: When you Google Image Mike Gravel, it says “Also try: Dennis Kucinich.” Apparently, two separate political candidates are completely interchangeable.
Interestingly enough, it does not say “Also try: Mike Gravel” when you Google “Dennis Kucinich,” although it does suggest you search for images of Dennis Kucinich’s wife. But of course! Who cares about a presidential candidate’s positions when you can eyeball fuck his hot babe wife? Now that’s what I call “women in politics”!
Second conclusion: There is a vast media conspiracy against Mike Gravel.
Third conclusion: I can find sexist overtones in anything…probably because they exist in everything.
