I’m sorry, what were you saying about medical center attacks being a figment of feminists’ imaginations?
Three abortion / women’s health clinics were attacked (bombed, set on fire, etc.) last month in New Mexico.
Dr. Curtis Boyd of the National Abortion Federation had his office completely destroyed on December 6th, apparently by a dude who was trying to stop his ex-girlfriend from exercising her right to control her own internal organs. Gee, why on earth wouldn’t she want to have a baby with an arsonist domestic terrorist?
On Christmas day, two Planned Parenthood medical centers were also attacked, though thanks to their high security measures, the damage wasn’t too significant. Happy birthday, Jesus!
And, oh, how very shocking that the media refers to these attacks as “vandalism,” not “terrorism.” I just love how animal rights and earth liberation activism is ALWAYS called “terrorism,” even if the act is completely non-violent or non-destructive. It even has its own fucking terrorist nickname: bioterrorism! So to recap: interfering with capitalism, which is responsible for the oppression of millions of people, via damage to property with no risk to any living thing = terrorism! Firebombing a women’s health clinic = vandalism! Basically anything attempting to undermine the existing capitalist power structure is a threat to national security. Violent actions that threaten the ability for women to access reproductive health care are the equivalent of TPing your neighbors’ house. Mmmmhmmm, bitch!
And, as always, I ask again…what would the response be if a church, airplane, or government building were set on fire?
According to the National Abortion Federation, there have been seven murders, 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 100 butyric acid attacks, 656 anthrax threats, and 175 arsons against abortion providers since 1977, including the Albuquerque incident.
Yup…all in our silly little heads.
